Yesterday was the much-anticipated wedding of Emily and Dan . . . not only my first wedding of 2009, but also one of my favorite couples ever. They are not only ridiculously good-looking, but kind, humble and caring. Their love for each other and emotion for their friends and family helped make the photography part of the day a breeze!
This wedding was extremely classic, which I loved. Emily and Dan went for a black, white and red theme and danced to Frank Sinatra. In honor of their vintage-detailed wedding, I processed quite a few of these images to replicate the good ol' days . . . lots of black & white, grain, and old color.
Emily's best friend and maid-of-honor did the girls' hair, and Em wore a red flower while the bridesmaids wore an ivory flower. They were absolutely beautiful!
Emily's look-alike sister, Abby, did the finishing touches on the makeup. The girls got ready in the same home that Emily and her sisters have lived their entire lives in Townsend.
Rawr!
Backing up a bit . . . Emily put her gown on at the church right before she walked down the aisle, and this is her reaction. Priceless!
The very handsome groom with his groomsmen:
The chuch was beautiful, nestled right up against Canyon Ferry Lake.
Classic red roses for the bride:
Emily chose the Walking Mall in downtown Helena to do the portraits, since it was right outside the Park Plaza Hotel, where the reception was held. It was the perfect place for the style of photography I wanted to give them . . .
To start, a very traditional, 40s-style wedding photograph:
And then onto my favorite style. Sex-y!
One of my absolute favorites:
Another favorite during the first dance . . .
And a little nighttime glamour:
There's quite a few more photographs in the SLIDESHOW, so enjoy this beautiful couple for just a few more minutes. Emily and Dan, and your families, thank you for welcoming me with such warmth and gratitude. I truly enjoyed every moment of your day. Much love to you all always!

Great shots Morgan, you're skill with your camera is second only to your ability to get your clients to relax and be themselves...its when that happens that you seem to always catch the perfect moment. You're clients are lucky to work with someone so wonderful and caring and professional.
