sharon + dana

Sharon and Dana were my very last 2009 couple and I loved everything about them, their families, and this beautiful wedding in Hamilton, Montana. I had only met them once prior to their wedding day as they are both law students in Denver, but loved them immediately because they are not only so kind, funny and beautiful, but Dana is Boston-bred :). They had a church ceremony, which was followed by a reception held at Sharon's parents' home, complete with amazing views and very deep blue skies that are a photographer's dream! I am in LOVE with their portraits but owe all the credit to them . . . they are so in love, and the moment I began snapping away, they turned to each other and just genuinely melted into one another. All I had to do was focus and recompose. :)

Love this of Dana's mom watching Sharon getting ready :)

Sharon and Dana, thank you for including me in your day and making me feel so welcome! Muah!

claire + steven: 9.26.09

Claire and Steven's wedding was truly one of those life-changing experiences for me, and I kid you not when I tell you I think about this couple, about Claire's passion, every single day since I met them. In the midst of such changes happening in my life, and not quite knowing the right way to love a man and enter into new relationships at almost 30 years old, Claire reminded me to simply love, with every bit of passion and fire inside you . . . and that the right person will love you back, maybe even harder. She is so incredibly passionate about everything - she smiles twice as big as she needs to and cries twice as hard as she should, but she doesn't care, because she is living and loving every single thing about her life, and the people in it.

Claire wore Steven's grandmother's wedding dress and walked barefoot :)

Roys' Barn and the ceremony site . . . oh, how I love Montana!

The toasts were extremely emotional, because this couple is just so wonderful in the first place, and also become Steven's dad had passed away a couple years prior to the wedding, and his friends spoke amazing words about that time in Steven's life, and the bond of his friendships because of it.

The party upstairs started with line dancing, moved to Claire and Steven's first dance, and ended with Claire singing Stand by Me in her adorable turquoise dress she'd changed into . . . the whole experience was priceless :).

And not a bad view to walk away from after such a perfect day . . .

Claire and Steven, I am a better woman for having met you. Thank you for showing how right and beautiful it is to love with every part of your being. I needed that. :) Much love, happiness and success to you both!

2009 favorites: husband + wife

Ahhhh, buh-bye 2009. What a year . . . of love, happiness, disappointment, failure, change. But on the very last day, I turned 30, and with that came simply love and happiness. I was surrounded by people who I not only love, but people who make me want to be better in every way, and if I could morph their qualities and re-create me, I'd pretty much be perfect! :)

Here is a little collection of my beautiful brides and dashing grooms who I was so blessed to photograph this year. I am so incredibly lucky to be able to do this for a living and am so grateful to all of my clients!

All kinds of fresh work coming to you this year! If you are a potential client, please visit my website to view my calendar for availability . . . there are limited dates left!

Happy Monday!
