a looong weekend . . .

I love my weekends, but this one was challenging. I'm still working as a paralegal at Beck, Amsden & Ruggiero here in Bozeman until the end of May, and we have a huge medical malpractice trial starting on Monday, which required my presence at the office on Saturday . . . just mere hours after Stella was up vomiting, dry heaving and feverish. :( Poor punkin' head. She seems to be feeling better, finally, but has definitely been more than clingy, and her main man is Carson, who is actually out of town for at least another week in beautiful Joseph, Oregon, at his aunt's ranch working.

Last night was a bit stressful. Stella was in so much pain that at some point I told Ava to put her shoes on, thinking we were headed to the ER. Stella was screaming, hysterical, and thinking maybe it was just exhaustion, I'd put her in her crib and she'd thrash about, slamming her head off the rails and such. So much for a bumper pad! It turned out to be a pretty bad tummy ache based on a certain diaper later. Anywho, we ended the weekend with a nice long car ride this morning scoping out some spots for a few upcoming shoots I have, a cart-ride through Target (and $114later), and a trip to the grocery store (another $124 later).

Stella slept in the living room so I could keep an eye on her Friday night after she went to bed - we went through probably 3 sets of pajamas, one set of crib sheets and a LOT of tears. Good thing she has a killer spike to get her through those rough days. Poor baby . . .

chumley spent most of the weekend in the kitchen sink, begging for fresh water from the tap (because the fresh water from the tap in his bowl just doesn't cut it)

sunday afternoon the sun was out and we managed to squeeze in a quick walk, so here's stella flashing her pearly gums for her sister . . .

she's way too cute!

and miss ava lottie (short for ava charlotte) tried posing for me but it was similar to tucking an octopus into bed. in other words, impossible! but candids are my favorite, so I can't complain :)

It's been a tiring few days, so good thing ava could help me out with pushing the stroller!

even lola was tuckered out from her hot date with ruger at the gallatin river . . .

stella helped cure her cold by doing a little baby yoga. here she is in cobra . . .

so i thought it was important to treat myself with some tuxedo brownies for making it through the weekend :)

So here's to a brand new week! Hope it's safe and happy for you all.
