aslinn + robbie

I got a very frantic call Friday afternoon, one I hope I never have to make. It was another local photographer, Meghan from Gathering Light Photography, who was stuck on the east coast after attending her husband's grandmother's funeral. Meghan's flight was canceled, and she had a wedding the next day in Big Sky. Was I available? Thank God I was. Meghan was supposed to arrive in Bozeman on Saturday and be at the wedding by about 2:30 or so to pick up from where I left off, or we talked about shooting together at that point . . . either way, the poor girl made it to Salt Lake City before she was grounded again, told she didn't have a flight on her last leg to Bozeman. Ugh! But I very happily photographed the entire event, and felt just as honored that Meghan had that trust in me just after seeing my work online. So I want to give a huge thank you to Meghan for the opportunity to spend the day with the fabulous Aslinn and Robbie! See why it helps to network rather than think your competition is your enemy?

Aslinn and Robbie held their wedding at Bucks T-4 Lodge in Big Sky. They were such a fun couple - they had killer dance moves, and they were such naturals in front of the camera. They have a little guy, Malachi, who joined them during the ceremony and tugged at them through the reception :) One of their toasts from Aslinn's maid of honor, who flew all the way from Finland for the event, included round trip tickets to Germany. I don't think I'll be topping that wedding gift anytime soon :)

I got to chat with Aslinn while she was getting her hair done, about how her and Robbie met. I loved how she said she is the dreamer, and Robbie keeps her grounded. It reminds me of Carson and I . . . Carson is the dreamer, and I keep him grounded. Just because of that, I know they will have a very happy marriage. Aslinn and Robbie, thanks for taking me in! You are a beautiful couple, and I wish you nothing but the best. I hope you enjoy your photos :)
