chevonne and john's beautiful wedding

There really aren't two more genuine people in the world than John and Chevonne . . . and I had the honor of photographing their beautiful wedding this afternoon at Lazy B Ranch here in Bozeman. There simply was no better way to spend the day than in this couple's presence.

Chevonne was referred to me by another one of my brides when she was buying her wedding gown. We met shortly afterwards, and I got to meet her entire family when we did some family photos early in the summer. I don't know much about Chevonne, but in the time we've spent together and communicated back and forth, I have learned that her presence is such that just being near her makes you want to be a better person. She has such an amazing and calming aura about her. She is so gentle and kind and confident. I watch her, in awe at how simple life really is, thinking . . . that is how I want to be.

John spoke about how much Chevonne has changed his life during their toast, and even though I don't know Chevonne very well, I knew exactly what he meant. Their love for one another just seeps through their pores. Their kisses last seconds. Their eyes close when they embrace. Yeah. It's that kind of love.

John and Chevonne, I am so grateful to have met you both. You are truly an inspiration . . . a lesson to slow down, and be patient, and to spend more time loving and laughing. Enjoy your time hunting, and I'm looking forward to getting our families together when you get home!

By the way - John's ring was amazing. Chevonne used the ivory from the very first elk John hunted in the canyon. It was absolutely beautiful and so meaningful to him.
