raelynn and josh's super fun engagement shoot!

Yesterday afternoon I met Raelynn and Josh for the first time to do their engagement photos and oh. my. god. did we have fun! This fabulous couple has been together for 5, count 'em, 5 years and are the real deal. We met for a beer before we started shooting just to talk and get to know each other a bit before I put them in front of the camera . . . Raelynn warned me that Josh was really shy, so I wanted him especially to feel comfortable and at ease. Well, you'll have to see the slideshow and judge for yourself. Not only was he not shy at all, he was a TOTAL ham and the photos came out gorgeous!

In all of our chit-chat, it turns out this couple and I are made for each other :) Raelynn has a writing degree and we talked books and authors and shared our recommendations (my current one being eat, pray, love by Elizabeth Gilbert), and Josh is a first degree black belt in tae kwon doe, as am I, (KIDDING!) but he did show me a few of his moves. :) Usually I do quite a bit of posing in my shoots but this couple was having so much fun, I let them go, and they gave me the true definition of photojournalism.

There's also a few jump shots which in the past I always despised because they're so unnatural, but oh, my, are they FUN!

Raelynn and Josh, thank you SO much for such a fun afternoon! I can't wait to be a part of your wedding next year!

We spent the whole shoot in the old mill district in Bozeman at the stockyard. What a great spot for photos!









Josh being a goofball, but I totally think they should use this for their Christmas cards!
