alison and TJ's slideshow . . . finally!

Photobucket

A huge thank you to Alison and TJ for letting me re-organize my workload and waiting so patiently for their engagement slideshow! This super cute couple is getting married next May at the Gallatin Gateway Inn, a beautiful venue here just outside of town which is actually where Carson and I got married! So when Alison approached me with her wedding details, I knew I had to have her :). Enjoy the slideshow!

tracey and michael's wedding reception

Tracey and Michael are a very sweet couple who got married June 18th in Hawaii with their closest friends and family. They held their reception last night at Michael's grandparents' ranch in Lewistown, Montana. Now, I'd never been to Lewistown but let me just say, what an amazing drive, sooooo beautiful, and it was kind of nice to be alone in the car for a few hours! :)

Here are a couple favorites, and be sure to check out the slideshow!

jessica & dan's fabulous wedding

Saturday evening I photographed the very anticipated wedding of Jessica and Dan at Roys Barn, this very cool venue off Springhill Road with good ol' fashioned Montana charm. Chickens and rooster wander the grounds, a creek runs through the property, and the upstairs of the barn is this gorgeous wood dance floor where the band played after the dinner. So cool! Jessica and Dan are a very sweet couple with an amazing group of friends and family. Everyone was so fun, it was hard not to jump in on it! ;) Here are a couple of my favorites, and definitely check out the slideshow by clicking here. I am really pleased with the images. Jessica stressed her love for photojournalism, so we spent very little time on portraits and rather just let the day unfold, just as I like it . . .

Enjoy!

the hall family - slideshow!

Morning! It's after midnight and I'm having waaaaay too much fun with some Photoshop actions I just downloaded. Before I go on with a before/after, click here to see the beautiful Hall family's slideshow. It takes a second to load. Music credits go to the uber talented Ben Harper, and the song is called Not Fire, Not Ice. It's the live version, and it's one of my favorites. When Chevonne and I were first discussing this photo shoot, our original plan was to do them down on the river in Gallatin Canyon. John is a fly fishing guide, so the river was a perfect place to put them. The first line of this song is "there is not a river wide . . ." and the first time I heard it I immediately thought of them, and imagined showing a slideshow of a bunch of river photos to this song. I couldn't give it up, though, even though we were in a park off busy Main Street. It's a perfect song for this beautiful family, and I wish them all the best of everything in this world, and cannot wait to capture the memories of their wedding day in September.

Okay, here is a photo of little miss LeeAnn straight out of the camera . . .

And here is the little doll with a little Old Skool action from Boutwell's Totally Rad Actions . . .
Photobucket

Pretty sweet! I was NOT a fan of crazy editing, and this action especially I probably won't use too much or by request since its sole purpose is to make the photo look 100 years old. I'm still trying to find my style, so to have these things to work with is very exciting for me.

Enjoy the slideshow!

missy and jr's slideshow!

Don't waste any more time, click here to see some of my favorites from Missy and JR's engagement session! I want to give credit where credit is due, and the photo of the couple leaning up against the old rusty old car was inspired by the lovely and talented Melissa Jill.

Not much to report on the home front. It was a rainy, fairly quiet weekend. Stella is teething wicked bad and has slept a lot this weekend. This pretty much sums up how she feels about it . . .

Photobucket

But no, really, she is actually still a very happy baby!
Photobucket

She's discovering all kinds of new things . . .
Photobucket

Keep on rockin' in the free world, Stella!

And here's miss Ava Lottie, Miss Attitude, Miss Bring-It-On . . . I need to note that these pictures of Ava were taken by my friend, Nate, who is super talented in photography, videography and web design, as well as kite boarding, backcountry snowboarding and throwing sticks for his boxer, Summit.

Staya-Baya as Ava calls her, skirting around in the little ballerina skirt!

And getting a little backlight from the evening sun. I know she's mine, but seriously . . . so cute.

Hope you had a great weekend!

the frey family slideshow

Now that my slideshows are up, click here to watch a slideshow of my favorites from the Frey family's photo shoot we did a couple weeks back. Some of you will notice that the song is the same as the one I used in Ivory's slideshow. I'm in the process of finding some amazing music so if anyone has any suggestions, leave a comment! This song is so beautiful, though. I have no problems reusing it.

Enjoy the slideshow!

addison's birthday party

addison wasn't feeling well on her birthday :(

But the party was so much fun, Kara's parents were in town from Missouri, and so many of our long-lost-since-having-babies friends were there who we haven't seen in forever. Addison spiked a low fever a few hours before the party, so you won't see a ton of smiles on her part but she's nonetheless absolutely beautiful. And we learned she's going to be a big sister this November! Click here to see a slideshow of party pics. Enjoy :)

alison and barrett

Alison and Barrett tied the knot on March 20th at Moonlight Basin in a very intimate ceremony . . . it was just the two of them, and they married in their unit after a day of skiing! They are such a beautiful couple, and I truly enjoyed spending the evening with them. Alison was simply stunning, and Barrett quite the handsome groom. I knew we were right for each other when Alison asked for lots of detail shots to help tell the story of their day to their three little girls back home in Houston. :)

lyndsey and bj's slideshow

Click here to see a slideshow of Lyndsey and BJ's final engagement photos from their shoot a few months back. I'll be playing around with my new program a bit so keep checking back for more - they add so much more emotion to the photographs. Enjoy :)

Also, I'm shooting a wedding in Big Sky next week so check back for those images!
